This is a 1965 Pre-CBS Fender Vibro Champ in perfect working condition. The amp is original except for a modern speaker replacement, a 3 prong plug, and the "Death Cap" that was switched out for the safe and appropriate replacement capacitor. The new speaker, a Webber 8A125-4, plays louder and sounds better than the original speaker. The amp has been bench tested, certified as having all the important original parts, and dated as 1965 Pre-CBS. Rootbeer Audio of Philadelphia ( a well regarded tube amp shop) did all the inspection and testing. The test results are pictured in the photos. The code "O E" is stamped on the tube layout sticker inside the cabinet (not visible in the photo) This code indicates that this Vibro Champ was made in May of 1965. Except for some minor smudges and a small scuff mark on the original grill fabric, the amp is in excellent cosmetic condition. The tubes are fresh Groove Tubes with less than 10 hours of use. I will be shipping in well padded, heavy-duty double boxes to provide maximum protection from shipping damage. Buyer pays all shipping costs except for shipping insurance, which I will pay.
