1983 Fender JV Japan Vintage Stratocaster ST57 FRD Fiesta Red Collector's Item Up for sale is an incredibly rare Fiesta Red JV strat ST57-65 (upgraded price at guitar shop in 1983 was 70, hence shops editing of reg card!). This 33 year old guitar looks closer to a year or two old. Its that nice. VERY RARELY do you find JV's in this shape, and even rarer still are FRD models.
No finish cracks! (quite common at neck pocket)Please see pics for details of cosmetic condition. Plenty of room on rod. Plays wonderfully with excellent low action. The guitar had some upgrades/exchanges done, including the pots/switch/jack and bridge pickup. I went ahead and tried to put the original bridge pickup back in myself (first soldering job!) but didn't do a great job. It should be resoldered because its (bridge pup) not making a sound at the moment, but I'm sure its just my shoddy job (I didnt connect the wires fully, its half plastic soldered, my mistake :()
The neck is actually slightly beefier and the fretboard more like a 85 or 115, not as small as standard 65's. C shape neck still of course.Original parts included if you want to put them back in yourself (jack/pots/3 way switch). Nice hard case included.
