You are offered a very rare guitar in this 1986 Ibanez Artist AM70CS that is in great condition for a 31 year old guitar. The AM70 was only offered for two years, 85 & 86. It was only available in Black in 1985 and Violin Sunburst (VS) and Cherry Sunburst (CS) in 1986. I purchased this guitar from a Japanese Collector about 10 years ago. It was represented as a Factory Prototype that was given to one of the production team members. This guitar is not Serialized, nor does it have a Label inside the body, as you would expect to find on a production Artist of this era. If you Check out Vintage Ibanez Catalogs On-Line, you will see this model in the 1986 catalog. The Tuners have been change out to Grover "Black Chrome" and a Schaller Model 455 Bridge is installed. This bridge is superior to the factory bridge in vibration transmission and adjustability. I have the original bridge which will be included. I am not sure about the Tuners, I will look for them and will include them if they are located. This guitar looks and plays great and is a Killer Blues Axe. The IBZ Humbucker Pick-ups have Triple Magnets and sound great, they can really wail. Overall she is in very nice condition. The smaller AM body is really comfortable to play. Give the pics a good look and ask any questions before you bid. The frets are nice and the neck is straight. Comes in a newer Ibanez AM style 5-Latch case.
