Vintage USA 4 bolt Refinished Fender Jazz Bass Body 1968?

For your consideration, a refinished vintage Fender Jazz Bass body. This bass was refinished in candy apple red, transparent red over silver metallic. This is a vintage USA made model, I was told by the guy I got it from that it dates to 1968. However, there are no original factory markings left to support this claim. I have no idea what year it is and know no way to find out or verify the actual year. the routing and mounting screw patterns are consistent with Jazz Basses from the mid 1960s to the early 1970s. The refinish is not very accurate as far as color goes and it is not a pro job. There are numerous dents, dings, chips scratches and imperfections, some are pretty large. based upon the exposed wood and the weight, I believe this to be an alder body. There appears to be no breaks or repairs. The only part besides the body is the brass cavity shield as shown in the pictures. The body weighs approximately 5 pounds 3 ounces. This could be the heart of a great project, it will take some work. Please ask any questions before bidding or buying. I have made an honest effort to fully and accurately describe this body.
