Made in USAUp for sale is my all original 1976 Gibson Les Paul Recording model electric solid body guitar. This guitar has a natural top and mahogany body.
I am the second owner and bought this guitar in Quincy, IL in 1979.
It has been played out on a gig only 2 times. Kept in a climate controlled, smoke-free home for the past 37+ years.The guitar top is nearly perfect. The back side has minor dings and scratches which had not penetrated the guitar's finish but are still evident. It occurred with the original owner. (see photo)
The Serial Number is 00111841 which indicates 1976 year of production.
This has the Hi & Lo Z outputs on the side of the guitar. The phase switch and decade knob are on top. (see photos)
The pickguard shows only light use. This is a closet classic. It has been stored – de-tuned a half step and occasionally taken out for a gentle cleaning.
The strings are several years old and overdue for replacement…so be advised.The case is all original and the interior is in excellent condition. The exterior has some battle scars with some tears and dings in the cover material, but in general looks pretty good.
Handle, locks & latches are 100% okay. (see photo)No returns.
