The Martin 000 model is a popular model alongside Dreadnought since the Unplugged of Eric Clapton. Easy-to-handle size and bass sounds pretty well with no clutter, especially vocal main artists are highly popular.
Although it is particularly popular in the dry tone's vitality model, before the 1970s, the Dreadnought model was at its best, the production of the 000 model was quite small, and instruments in good condition are hard to obtain.
1979 is the year of model change, this instrument is a glover peg model before model change, it is a popular spec that sounds good.
According to Martin 's data, only 35 of 000 - 18 in 1979 were produced.
Top is spruce, sideback is mahogany, square rod, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, rosewood bridge.
The peg operates smoothly with the original Grover 102C.
The pick guard has been replaced and there is no Martin crack.
The painted surface is burned and it is discolored into an astringent candy color. Although it is quite ambious looks, although there are some slight surface scratches, there is no big scratch or repair history, it is very shiny and very beautiful.
Both nut and fret are not consumed in original condition. The saddle is exchanged for bone.
The neck condition is straight and easy to play, it is quite a superb object.
It is a regular grip neck with a nut part width of about 42.7 mm.
The string height is 6 strings 2.4 mm on the 12 frets, about 1.7 mm on the 1st string, and it is set to be easy to play easily.
It is a mahoganyish tone that is rich in bark strings and harmonics of bass strings, rustic and warm. There is smooth and sustain, beautiful sound when gently stroking with a soft eye pick is attractive. The grain of high treble is beautiful and it sounds with luxurious sound like vintage Martin.
The response feeling of the bass sounds better if you increase the chord height a little more, but I think that the current set of well-balanced and stable pitch is suitable for this instrument. Although it is with the original black case of the time, the logo badge is peeling and it is lost. ●Condition neck is good
