1948 Buescher 400 Top Hat and Cane Tenor Saxophone 1948 Buescher 400 Top Hat and Cane Tenor Saxophone This Buescher 400 Top Hat and Cane Tenor Saxophone has a serial number of 312xxx which puts it’s year of manufacture somewhere near 1948. Overall this saxophone looks great with very little wear and tear over the years. Most of the lacquer is in tact with just some minor pitting and surface scratches throughout the sax. There is no evidence of major repairs or damage to this saxophone, it was well kept by the previous owner(s). The silver bell ring looks great, as well as the raised Buescher logo. The engraving is crisp and the finish is original. This saxophone still has the original Buescher snap ins, and gold plated springs. The under slung neck is also in good shape with no evidence of pull downs. Comes in a very nice Buescher True Tone case which is still in pretty good shape. No mouthpiece included.
