1949 Buescher Aristocrat Series II 156 Big B Tenor Saxophone 1949 Buescher Aristocrat Series II 156 Big B Tenor Saxophone This Buescher Aristocrat Series II 156 Big B Tenor Saxophone has a serial number of 323xxx which puts its manufacture date near 1949. Overall the saxophone looks great, especially for it’s age. Has the original finish which has a nice dark patina. There are some spots of lacquer wear but overall the finish is in pretty good shape. There is one past repair where the foot of the low Eb keyguard was resoldered. The sax plays very good as is but a professional may want to have it set up to their liking. Most of the pads look good, some are darker than others. Has the gold plated springs, and looks to have all the original Buescher snap ins. This is a fine example of a Buescher Big B Tenor Saxophone. The neck is the original neck and is also in very good condition. No pull downs or past repairs. Comes in an original Buescher True Tone case, and comes with a vintage neck strap.
