Genuine Gibson Les Paul Faded Double cut, made in the USA. Serial number 01284448. that is made in 2004. NO NECK REPAIRS (photos as proof available, just ask).  Only selling because the studio is closed and I'm reduced to an acoustic (well at least it makes noise). I bought this to regain my youth where I would have killed to be able to cover bands like the Replacements properly with the correct sound!  NOTE: I may end this as this guitar might suit a relative, not sure they deserve it, but when you get a keeper you want to keep it in the family!Specs are available on the Gibson website.  .This guitar is described as souped up because I have had a whole new electronics suite installed:Orange Drop capsCTS potsPickups switched out to Jason Lollar P-90s ( widely acknowledged as one of the best sounding P90s available) - very dynamic sound - with a good amp you can simply play softer and it cleans right up, play loud and it roars, pretty amazing.Varitone added, but I consider it pretty useless, good for jazz players and one position gives the MoneyForNothing sound, but I just leave it on bypass usually.  Here's the spec:------------------------------
Varitone switch added for versatility, 6 different positions giving the range from True bypass, to Jazzbox, and thin strat sounds.Giving a total of 18 different sounds. To avoid drilling i have taken out a volume pot to accomodate the varitone, and the remaining volume pot is the master volume control. *the following information is taken from the manufacturers website, email me if youre interested in having a look at it yourself*Position 1 = Bypass - True bypass switch is pulled from the system, will not ruin your original tone! Position 2 = C1 - softer than bypass Position 3 = C2 - deeper tone than bypass, better response Position 4 = C3 - jazz box full Position 5 = C4 - jazz box mellow Position 6 = C5 -almost woman-ish tonetechnical electronic values are: C1 = .001 micro farads C2 = .01 mf C3 = .022 mf C4 = .047 mf C5 = .22 mf
------------------------------Shielding, and wiring of top notch quality. The luthier has also rounded out the fretboard edges. Also frets properly dressed and evened out by said luthier. What the guitar does have however are a few minor dings about, and very light buckle rash on the rear, and a little scratching about and on the scratchguard. other than this no damage has been sustained, again NO NECK BREAKS.Also included in this deal is a hard case made by Soundlab moulded cases. This guitar deserves the protection. This can be picked up at Old Street/Hoxton, or I will ship in the case.  I hope this goes to someone who kills it!
