Here I have available a 1971 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black with Gold Hardware. Serial number 683415 Stamped Made in USA.Neck is straight, no breaks, cracks, repairs or reset.A refret was done over two decades ago, the frets I estimate to have over 80% life left. Action is typically low easy and fast, player comfort at it's best. Original well balanced pair of Patent sticker T top Humbuckers punch out those classic vintage tones. Pot codes number 137142.Cosmetically this 46 year old vintage classic does have the odd ding, dent and buckle rash accompanied by the usual time honoured patina of the gold hardware. I did have Grover tuners on at one stage but have reinstalled it's original Gold Waffle tuners hence there are extra holes in the peghead. The input jack has been replaced with a much more reliable heavy duty jack for enhanced stage performance.There has been no overspray, respray or extra routs of the body. The binding is in good condition and has gracefully aged displaying a majestic yellowing, adding an eye catching contrast to the body. Overall this 46 year old vintage mama presents well.It has been held in storage unplayed for a decade or so as part of my vintage instrument collection. A new owner will not be disappointed. There are no hidden issues. As with all my listings each guitar is thoroughly checked out by myself, my luthier and a number of professional musicians.
