This amp is about as rare as they come. A Selmer Super Zodiac 4x12 100w Combo Valve Amp.. The only one I had seen before this one is Dick Taylor's, from the 60's band "The Pretty Things" which they have pictured on the "Vintage Hofner" site where they document Selmer amps. http://www.vintagehofner.co.uk/vintage-hofner/amps/amp21.htmlHis has been modified into a head and cab but originally would have been a combo like this one.This amp is a bit like the Thunderbird 100 that was presumed a myth until some photos surfaced.. I guess there were hardly any of these big 4x12 Combos made.. and those that were have either not survived or been cut down into heads like Dicks one..When I found this amp it was in a bad way. Re-covered in Green Tolex that was pealing off... The box was in pieces and the amp covered in cobwebs... So I decided to restore it back as close as I could given that it is a rare piece of Mojo history.So the amp is in its original box, the amp it's self is all original. It has been recovered and re-clothed professionally by Zilla Cabs... as closely as possible but obviously apart from stripping two 2x12's and making a patchwork, you'll never find the grill cloth... so black was used.Other than that, the knobs have been replaced as most were missing...Speakers... The amp has 4x Vintage Goodmans inside...All working, recently serviced and ready to go... I have no idea how to price something like this to be honest... Yes it has been recovered..etc.. but on the other hand it's possibly the only surviving Super Zodiac Combo still in existence...Anyway...Thanks for looking..
