Up for sale, a 1999 Martin 000-1 acoustic guitar in excellent condition. This uncommon Martin features the classic 000 Auditorium body size with a solid spruce top and mahogany back. With its rare sunburst top, this Martin is impressive both visually and sonically, delivering plenty of detailed and focused low end, clear mids, and sweet, treble response. The body size delivers the classic Martin clarity which lends itself well to both strumming and fingerpicking. Strung with 12-53 strings and professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Martin is dialed in for comfortable action.The mahogany neck has a medium C profile that borders on the slender side of things, with 14 frets clear of the body and Martin's longer 25.4" scale length. The rosewood fretboard features slender, vintage-style fretwire which is in fantastic shape. These frets retain their full, original height, showing only faint wear on the crowns of the plain strings on frets 1-3, and virtually no wear further up the neck. The truss rod is responsive, the neck is straight, and the guitar plays cleanly in all positions with no buzzing or dead spots. On the headstock, The Martin-stamped chrome tuners turn smoothly and the headstock face has a rosewood veneer with traditional gold Martin logo.The body features a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back, and laminate mahogany sides. All braces are in good shape and the rosewood bridge sits flush to the top on all edges. The saddle has plenty of height for future adjustment too. Cosmetically, the guitar is overall quite clean, with tortoise binding accenting the top and back.
