Neck cut for a TUBE AND PLATE flange and has an original Gibson MASTERTONE block installed. Factory serial numbered on the heel. This is NOT and original Gibson product. Dotson prewar reproduction 5th string pip is installed. Finish is beautiful showing only a few spots of age, and frets appear excellent with no wear pattern on them or the fingerboard. Neck appears little used. Matching resonator has the same marquetry pattern as the neck and is the exact same color and style. I was going to mate this pair to an original 70s Gibson pot assembly but someone bought that assembly from me leaving me with only these parts. I've had them far too long for a project that simply won't materialize. This set would make a FANTASTIC RB-800 copy and the high quality would insure an extremely well built banjo.Custom built necks such as this run nearly and in some cases OVER $1K. This neck is in near new condition, showing a few signs of age but not abuse. It has a working trussrod. Simply fit to pot, install tuners and play.
