This is the final listing for this guitar on eBay at this price...Beautiful Olympic White Woodstock-style right-handed Crafted in Japan Stratocaster converted to left-handed. The model name of this guitar is ST68-TX (the "TX" part stood for Texas Specials, which came stock). This model emulated the late '60s stratocaster, complete with maple slab fretboard, large headstock, and 6-screw vintage tremolo. I've since replaced the Texas Specials and have made a number of upgrades, including replacing all of the electronics. (Note that my solder work is not pretty, but it's held up for 3 years now.) However, untouched these guitars command rave reviews and come from a more expensive line of Japanese Fenders. As such, the body is alder, not basswood or some similarly light, soft wood often found in Japanese strats. I absolutely love this guitar and the way it feels with the vintage-size frets and low action. However, I can only keep one of my two strats, and the limited edition left-handed MIA strat ultimately suits me a little better, if for nothing else because I don't need to draw any Hendrix comparisons. This guitar is in great condition! Only some slight swirling and a couple of minor divots--the only one prominent enough to capture on camera is on the back of the neck (see last photo). The neck is straight, and the frets show very little wear.Upgrades include:-Bone nut (installed by Danser at Andy Danser Guitar Works in Durham, NC)-CTS pots-Oak Grigsby 5-way switch-Switchcraft jack-Cloth-covered vintage-style wiring-Eric Johnson-style wiring (moving the middle pickup tone control to the bridge pickup)-Treble bleed (to keep tone from muddying when guitar volume is turned down)-Chevalier grey-bottomed 1967 pickups (reviews and sound clips available at chevalierpickups(dot)com--note that the whole set runs $170)-Hardshell tweed case (pictured)
