Original models from the fifties are becoming increasingly rare, which certainly drives up their average price. Fortunately, Fender offers a number of reissues in various price ranges, the most affordable being the Classic Series '50s Strat. It features both the classic looks and the renowned sound of a '50s Stratocaster, and comes with a remarkably reasonable price tag. This limited edition boasts a beautiful Jetstream Blue finish, a colour that was inspired by the Cadillacs from the 1950s.Limited edition '50s Strat: vintage characteristicsThis Strat's Jetstream Blue hue is not the only thing that takes you straight back to the fifties. It's maple neck with soft V profile and 21-fret maple fretboard clearly show that Fender faithfully followed the original 1950s Strat design when they built this instrument. Like the classic '50s Stratocaster model, this special edition has a body with rounded edges and deep contours. Three alnico single-coil pickups deliver the characteristic '50s punch. The guitar features Kluson-style machine heads, and its plastic parts were artificially aged to lend it an authentic look.
