Here's an absolute gem! This 1968 Elkhart Conn 88H trombone has been customized with a brand new M&W valve. This horn was purchased and customized for my personal use, and has seen less than 1 hour of playing time. This started as a 1968 Elkhart 88H, the cream of the crop. The horn was a closet find in stunning condition! The original lacquer on the bell is almost entirely intact. The original valve was removed, and replaced with a M&W rotor, including all new bracing and tubing. This valve is similar in feel to the Greenhoe valve, offering the perfect balance of resistance through the valve. The craftsmanship from Matt and Mike over at M&W is second to none -- they used to work in the original Greenhoe factory and have since hung out their own shingle to create the nicest trombones in the world, period. If you're looking for a new Shires or Edwards boutique modular horn to replicate the vintage Elkhart sound, why not go with the original?Rounding out the horn is a brand new Conn SL4747 slide, .547 bore with replaceable leadpipes, and an Eastman fiberglass case (not pictured). The new valve section from M&W is $2750 alone, and a good condition Elkhart 88H will run you upwards of $2000 itself. This horn is offered here as final sale, please ask any questions before buying. I do ship internationally, but please know due to the value of this instrument it will be very expensive to insure! I have shipped dozens of horns around the world so this instrument will be expertly packaged and will arrive safely.I am open to serious offers, but remember eBay, PayPal, and shipping fees in your offers!
