Professionally Repaired HeadstockUsed - Good Condition The Gibson Les Paul Studio was launched in 1983 as an affordable no-frills take on the classic Les Paul design. Like other Les Pauls, the Studio uses two humbuckers and a combination of a carved Maple top on a Mahogany body. Unlike other Les Pauls, the Studio lacks any sort of binding on the fingerboard or body, designed more like a tool meant for the studio than a flashy, stage presence guitar. Regardless, this Les Paul Studio, despite all its scarring and wear and tear such as the repaired headstock, still delivers the stellar tone and comfortable feel you would expect out of any Les Paul. Plus, this LP is still quite pleasant to look at with its stealthy gloss ebony finish. By picking up this incredible sounding Gibson at this price, the real winner here is your tone as a guitarist! Cosmetic and Functionality DescriptionBody: the top, back , and sides all show some rather obvious chips, dings, and scratches through the finish and all the way through to the wood; there is a name scratches into the top of the body and the back shows some noticeable buckle rash; the pickguard is missingNeck, Fretboard, and Headstock: the headstock on this guitar has been professionally repaired, plus it looks as if the headstock has been refinished due to the readability of the serial number on the back of the headstock; plenty of scratches and nicks in the finish can be seen on the front, back, and sides of the headstock; the back of the neck has some very small scratches, dings, and indentations that are virtually unnoticeable to the touch and should not affect comfort or playability; the fretboard looks almost flawlessAction and Playability: the action is about medium; the neck is straight and the truss rod functions flawlesslyFrets: light to moderate wear with plenty of life left in themHardware: the gold Grover tuners appear to not be original as the rest of the hardware is chrome, plus the holes from the original tuners can be seen on the back of the headstock; the tuners show some obvious wear and pitting in the plating; the strap hooks show some wear and rust, particularly on the screws; the stopbar looks fantastic as does the bridge, but the saddles show some corrosion and discolorationElectronics: all functions flawlesslyIncludes: electric guitar (original tuners, pickguard, case, and gig bag not included)
