This is the absolute sweetest pickup I've ever had or heard, except from legendary guitars. The closest example I'd cite is Clapton's sound in Cream. Example (despite SG newer than '58) :   Assuming you know what this is, there is little I need to say. I bought this from vintage dealer friend I introduced to Dickey Betts who bought a few vintage Goldtops from him. He said this came from '58 flying V.  I have another Pat No. pickup on auction that I got from him that came from '61 LP SG. shrink wrap over good condition lead wire, bec both pickups are out of phase with each other and I didn't want to modify These pickps were heard by Gary Brawer in San Francisco and he adivsed value at $1500 each.
