Up for purchase is a very rare 2011 Gibson Songwriter Deluxe Standard Acoustic/Electric guitar. Finished in Vintage Sunburst, this guitar is in excellent condition, with very little playing time. Originally purchased from Sweetwater music. A professional set-up was performed by one of their master lutherans. Not to be confused with the current Songwriter Deluxe Studio model. This is a different level of guitar in quality and price, the Standard is no longer available in production. While available, MSRP was $3,299.99.The Songwriter Deluxe Standard set a new benchmark for modern acoustic/electric guitars. Combining time-honored production techniques such as Gibson's renowned 1930's X- bracing pattern with custom red spruce top braces and cutting-edge appointments such as a 12'-16" compound radius fingerboard for electric guitar-like playing action, this guitar is a versatile, easy player with maximum tone, volume and projection. This big-bodied, square-shouldered dreadnought is built from the classic tone wood combination of Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. Advanced X-bracing made of scalloped Adirondack red spruce braces bonded with hide glue to support the top pays tribute to the power-house dreadnoughts of yesterday.Classic features like maple binding, rosewood fingerboard/bridge and a one-piece quarter-sawn mahogany neck, with a compound dove-tail neck-to-body joint, all contribute to the tonal brilliance of this guitar while finish details like the Abalone Sound-hole Rosette, Mother-Of Pearl Diamond Eye fingerboard/headstock inlays, custom two-point Tortoise pickguard, back Marquetry strip and gold plated Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners all contribute to it's elegant styling. Gibson's hand-sprayed Nitrocellulose lacquer in Vintage Sunburst finish ensures a beautiful sheen and authentic aging that doesn't interfere with the guitar's resonance. Being an Acoustic/Electric guitar, mounted in the sound-hole of this guitar is the Fishman Ellipes Aura preamp. Featuring Pickup/Image Blend, volume and switchable Nautual I and Natural II low frequency tone shaping. A Phase Switch and automatic Anti-Feedback device aids in controlling feedback, which allows the player a "miked-in" in a professional studio and on stage, thus eliminating the complicated setups of expensive microphones.  This is achieved by using digital algorithms to create images of various microphones' captured sounds. The preamp allows the player to blend these images with the guitar's pickup to produce an immediate and dramatic improvement in amplified sound.  The pickup's ergonomic soundhole-mounted design puts slider controls at the player's fingertips to maintain a natural playing position. Low battery indicator. The blueprint of the Gibson Songwriter Deluxe Standard, which was first released in 1999, was originally designed by Gibson's master luthier Ren Ferguson. This dreadnought-style model was Gibson's most popular acoustic success story, with a new modern look matched with classic 1930's Gibson tone, giving this acoustic a very wide dynamic range with a deep tone combined with warm mids and highs. The Songwriter Deluxe Standard delivers unmatched playability, and one of the features that help it achieve this is the incorporation of Gibson Acoustic's very first compound radius fingerboard. This type of fretboard has a smaller radius at the nut, and a larger radius at the neck and body joint to accommodate an exceptionally low playing action, while also creating a playing surface perfect for string bending techniques used commonly in blues and rock.  FEATURES:- BODY: SOLID AA-GRADE SITKA SPRUCE TOP, SOLID INDIAN ROSEWOOD SIDES AND BACK.- INLAY: MARQUETRY STRIP INLAY ON BACK.- BINDING: ABALONE ROSETTA.- FINISHED IN: VINTAGE SUNBURST, NITROCELLULOSE LACQUER.- DESIGN: LARGE BODY, SQUARE-BODIED, DREADNOUGHT, FLAT-TOP.- BRACING: 1930'S STYLE TOP X-BRACING HAND-SCALLOPED ADIRONDACK RED SPRUCE.- NECK: SOLID PIECE OF QUARTER-SAWN MAHOGANY, THINNER ROUNDED, WITH COMPOUND     DOVETAIL JOINT AT 14TH FRET FOR SUPERIOR STRENGTH AND RESONANCE, 17 DEGREES.- TOLERANCE: NECK/BODY .005".- FINGERBOARD: HIGHEST QUALITY EBONY, MOTHER-OF-PEARLS DIAMOND-EYE INLAYS,        12"-16" RADIUS.- PICKGAURD" TORTOISE.- 20 MEDIUM JUMBO NICKEL ALLOY FRETS, BONE NUT - 1.725" WIDE.- HARDWARE: GOLD PLATED GROVER MINI ROTOMATIC TUNERS, 14:1 RATIO.- ELECTRONICS: FISHMAN ELLIPSE AURA PRE-AMP AND PIEZO PICK-UP WITH SOUND-HOLE        MOUNTED CONTROLS, 4 DIGITAL SOUND IMAGES, VOLUME AND PHASE CONTROL,       ANTI-FEEDBACK, 2-POSITION LOW FREQUENCY TONE CONTROL.- SCALE LENGTH: 25 1/2".- WEIGHT: 3.5LBS.- CASE: GIBSON DELUXE HARDSHELL BLACK TOLEX, INTERIOR: BURGUNDY FELT FABRIC.* Includes leather strap.* Couple of the pics show reflection of light.* MSRP is $3,299.99, if you can find one.* Excellent guitar, in excellent condition. * Wonderful tone at all volume levels.
