3M 996 Audio Mastering Tape NOS Virgin Tape on Orig Gold Reels In Plastic Cases 1/2"X10.5"Here are 7 Reels of the Much Sought After High Bias 3M 996. It's Virgin Tape, New Old Stock on the Original Gold Reels in the Original Plastic Boxes with the original insert containing the Bias Settings, Tech Specs & Peel-Off Labels!!! As you know you can record cleanly/safely at +9/185 nw/m on this tape (some would push it at +9/250 nw/m, but most engineers left a little extra headroom and went +6 or +7). If you've ever recorded or mixed to 996, you know it was the cream of the high bias tape crop. Silky smooth! I can't say enough about this tape formulation. I will only ship with verified tacking and insurance. I will/can do Media Mail plus tracking and insurance (unless you prefer another service). I don't know what it will cost, and Please DO NOT ask "How Much to?" Shipping will be what it will be, and I will only charge what it costs me to do so (Shipping Cost will include a good box and additional packing materials -if necessary). Also, wait until I invoice before paying, as I will need to obtain the exact cost of shipping/etc (eBay's calculator is usually WRONG!). International buyers please consider that due to Weight, this will be expensive, so no surprises!In the picture showing the black & white hold down tape (Side View of Reel) the flange appears bent, BUT that is due to the lens of the iPhone. All Reel Flanges are straight and true!Finally, I can only vouch that it is NOS, and that it has been stored in a clean, smokeless, temperature controlled environment, but as you probably know some analog tape formulations can "get sticky" over time (I've had no issues with 996 myself) and there is potential that it might have to be dehydrated or "baked" before using. Therefore, I make no further claims as to it's use-ability.
