What makes this guitar special:  A magnificent slope shoulder dreadnought from Gibson's golden age, this gorgeous Country Western offers a warm, woody tone with a rich, deep voice & marvelous sustain.  Perfectly aged for 60 years & showing off a gorgeous patina.  Professionally set up by our own master luthier with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!Cosmetic Condition:  Really wonderful shape considering it's six decades old!  Gently used & certainly not abused - typical nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear.  No cracks, breaks or repairs.  The bass side pickguard is not original & was added some time ago.  The tuners are newer repros that fit perfectly in the original holes.  Overall the guitar has a great, true vintage look to it with a really nice patina.Neck:  Chunky mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots.  Dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays.  Original frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them.  Replacement Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.Body:  Slope shoulder dreadnought in natural finish.  Solid spruce top with 7-ply binding.  Rosewood bridge with pearloid dot inlays & one unoriginal bridge pin.  Double tortoise pickguards.  The treble side guard is original, the bass side one isn't.  Multi-ring rosette.  Mahogany sides & back with 5-ply binding.  There is no pickup; guitar weighs 4 lbs 3.8 oz.Case:  Vintage (late '40s / early '50s) Gibson hardshell case included.  The case is really nice upgrade, with the brown tolex exterior & green fabric interior.  It's a bit rough around the edges, but it's fully functioning with all the latches & original handle.
