Vintage Karl Hauser solid flame maple (Very Rare) I am selling part of my collection of vintage classical guitars. I love all of them but I want to see them go to a good home. This guitar has high volume (equal to some concert level guitars) with very clear trebles with rich bases. It is quite a nice piece of quality history. The condition is very good and I can see checking in the finish but everything else is pretty minty. The guitar plays very easily with a 50 mm nut and 650 scale length with a thin comfortable neck. There is almost no fretware and it feels like it was not played that much. The action is at about 3.2 mm at the 12th fret with plenty of saddle left. This is a ‘Karl Hauser’ classical guitar probably made during the late 50’s or early 60’s. I did some research and could find anything definite. One seller description attributed his Karl Hauser a Luthier Edgar Monch . I have seen other models 610 and 710 pictured but this guitar appears to be a better guitar with an ebony fretboard. There is a nice inlay down the front of the soundboard, very unusual but nicely done. It is a far better guitar than the Goya’s and Levines that were big during that era. I am a luthier and all I did to this guitar was to rebuild the tuners (two of the rollers were broken and were replaced) . The tuners are in great shape and were built to last. The tuners have 34mm spacing and bone buttons. This is a truly rare guitar that plays like new with some wow factor.
