These are early TAD 1601 Alnico frames reconed with genuine TAD 1603 recone kits. As I understand it that makes them 1601b's. These came from a sound company who were holding them as fresh spares when they switched to another driver, and these became surplus. I used these singly for a few months and have been hanging on to them and another pair with the idea of building some 2401 type monitors, but for the foreseeable future I will be staying with singles of 1602's. These play perfectly well and do indeed look very fresh.The shipping calculator will show the cost of shipping one woofer. The true cost for shipping will be double. Please wait for billing.
