Here's what Jeff (Xhefri) says about the color on his website: "This one is more unique in that it goes from a deep red to a transparent red (not having the silver around the edges as many Crimson burst Strats had.) Here is what Fender did with this color. They used the same technique as found on Candy Apple Red, but instead of using a sliver or gold metallic base coat, they shot a vintage white color down around the edges. This was followed, like on CAR, with transparent red color coats and then the whole body is clear coated. It is a fairly rare color. The solid Lipstick Red is done the same way but does not have the transparent burst front and back." THE GUITAROriginal hardware features an ash body, LSR roller nut, original Schaller locking tuners and strap buttons, satin finish small C profile maple neck with a 9.5" radius, bi-flex truss rod adjustable at the headstock, micro tilt adjustment at the heel, original medium jumbo frets, silver transitional Fender logo. The neck finish is super smooth and the factory frets from 1993 are in like new condition.THE PICKUPS AND ELECTRONICSThe Ilitch Silent Single Coil System has made the Lace Sensors a pastime for collectors only. Enter the Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot pickups with Lindy's stock stagger that got it right! It lowers the G pole for proper height with a plain G and is perfect for a modern radius! 6.5k bridge with baseplate, 6k non reverse middle, 6k neck runs through Ilitch Silent Single Coil Backplate that has a built in reverse wound "dummy coil" to cancel out ground noise without affecting the tone, thus retaining pure bite of single coils with low noise! This was the justification of the Lace Sensor pickups (single coil sound, low noise). The Lace Sensors, although "Stratty," couldn't come close to vintage alnico v magnet poles. So this improvement to Lace Sensors gives this guitar the vintage bell chimes of vintage Stratocaster pickups with low noise. The blender pot replaces the now defunct TBX tone control, built to aid Lace Sensors' limited dynamic range, and the blender offers a sixth pickup combination of bridge and neck without the middle pickup! Five-way switch. Blender pot at bottom tone pot (turn from 10 to 0 when switch is at neck or bridge position and it blends the other in so you get a "Telecaster middle position" bridge/neck sound!), middle tone pot with Luxe premium "orange dime" capacitor registering at .033 on a meter is master tone for all three pickups.THE TREMOLOAnother deal breaker is the Callaham modern style, cold rolled steel block that catches the ball end of the strings at the bottom instead of stock pot metal block where strings go all the way up and catch near the saddles (totally kills the tone). Callaham bent steel saddles are modern 2 1/8 narrow bridge spacing, just like the inferior stock powder chromed dead sounding saddles, and make a tremendous difference in tone when combined with the steel block. I heard the difference unplugged! THE BOTTOM LINEOnly reason I'm selling is because I am more of a V neck or U neck kind of guy. Don't much care for C necks. At the end of the day, what you have is the same modern Deluxe Stratocaster Plus in a rare custom color without noise that delivers the goods; clean improved tone direct into an amp or through a pedalboard. Includes Fender TSA molded hardshell case, Callaham trem "pop in" arm and allen wrench.
