Description Brand: Fender Type: Electric Guitar Amplifier Amplifier Type: Combo Number of Channels: 2 Impedance (ohms): 4ohm Model: Super Reverb Amplifier Technology: Vacuum Tube Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
1965 Fender Super Reverb in very good condition. A few rubbed through places on the back, top corners, otherwise tolex is in good shape. No tears in grill cloth. 3 prong grounded plug added. Circuit is all original with the acceptance of a solid state rectifier and Sprague filter caps along with caps in the cathode bypass and bias circuit. All of which need replacing in an amp this age.The solid state rectifier really tightens this amp up. It could easily be put back to stock if you prefer. I like the solid state in an amp this size. It doesn't bog down if you are playing some heavy, fast rock licks. The speakers have been replaced with Jensen Special Design C12r's. Power transformer code is 606-426. Choke code is 606-5-13. Output transformer code is 606527. I am assuming by dates that they are original. The tube chart is stamped OH which is the eighth week of '65. This amp comes from a collection of 40 vintage Fender amps that I bought over the last ten years. I am down to eight and this is one of my favorites. My wife wants a deck built onto the house so I reluctantly have decided to sale a few things to finance it. Since I am 64, I have decided to start with my bigger amps. This is a very nice sounding amp. I hate to see it go. A Strat through this amp is like butter. Feel free to ask any questions. I'll do my best to answer them.I am advertising this amp locally so I reserve the right to end sale at any time. Good luck and thanks for looking.
