These are the "Round Badge" Gretsch drums with silver interiors. This drum set is from the early 1960's. There are no tags affixed to the interior shells, they've fallen off and gone missing over the years. All drums are in great shape as is the blue sparkle wrap which is bright and vibrant. They are clean, fully functional, and sound great! They come with three soft drum cases that were purchased during or after 1961 (see photos).20x14 Bass Drum - All parts, with the exception of the batter head, are original. Hoops show some wear in the black paint (see photos). There is normal wear and oxidation in some areas. The tom mounting hardware on the bass drum is "Rodgers" and is original to the drum set. The bass drum was purchased with the 13x9 Gretsch tom, Gretsch "Floating Action" bass drum pedal. circa 1961. The Slingerland Hi-Hat stand and cowbell with Rodgers clamp were purchase during or after 1961.13x9 Tom - All parts, with the exception of the the heads, are original. There is normal wear and oxidation in some areas (see photos). The mounting hardware on the tom is "Rodgers" and is original to the drum set. The seam of the blue sparkle wrap is loose and should be glued. The seams location in relation to the hardware has prevented the wrap from loosening from it's glue around the rest of the shell. The 13x9 tom was purchased with the bass drum and the above listed items, circa 1961.14x5.5 Snare - All parts, with exception of the heads and the nylon straps that hold the snare wires, are original. It has it's original Gretsch "Responso" snare wires. It shows some oxidation and pitting on the hoops and hardware (see photos). The snare was purchased in 1960 along with the snare stand, cymbal stand, trap case, brushes, and at least one of the three included tuning keys. All stands, mounting hardware, and bass drum pedal are in working order. The snare stand, hi-hat stand, and cymbal stand have retained their original rubber feet. The original cushioning material on the three arms of the snare stand basket has rotted away (what you see in the photo is old masking tape on two of the arms). The bass drum spurs are missing their original rubber ends but are fully functional.I am the second owner of this drum set, which I acquired from the original owner around 2005. The above descriptions of the timeline of purchases are as per the recollection of the original owner.Though I am a "right hand" drummer, I've used this "left hand" drum set for certain live shows. I did this by using the vintage Rodgers "L" tom mounting arm with a universal clamp mounted to a modern cymbal stand. This configuration mounted the 13x9 tom off of my left cymbal stand making it possible to set this kit up as a "right hand" drum set. All the other stands and bass drum pedal that I used with this vintage drum set consisted of modern hardware. I've never used any of the vintage stands, Gretsch bass drum pedal, cowbell, brushes, tuning keys, drum stick, or trap case shown (see photo). This 56+ year old drum set is in good condition for it's age and sound great. The drum cases and trap case are in fair condition (see photos). There are at least three holes in this functional bass drum case and the original zipper needed to be replaced. The zippers on all three cases are functional. The leather straps on the trap case are showing their age. The wheels on the trap case do not roll or steer easily.See pictures for detail, thanks for looking.Read my feedback, Bid with confidence!
