Thinning out my 40 year collection of these beautiful stringed instruments. It was 1939 there was a worlds fair in San Francisco , my mom married my dad and Gibson made this mandolin. Now as you can see , one of the tuning pegs is missing as is one grommet on the post.The back of the headstock is stamped EK 5150. There are no cracks , although it has a few pick abrasions .Its possible the tuners are replacements. It comes with an old chipboard case with a chipped handle. ( original case? Not sure) I'm not an expert or a player just love these elegant old instruments. Please examine pictures carefully in deciding. Thanks and don't hesitate to call me with any questions.
