Description

The best valve amp I've ever had the pleasure to play and own. I spent half a day in Andertons trying out all their boutique amps and this was a clear winner from the second I plugged in. Stunning versatility with the attenuator and 3 settings. An amp genuinely useable at home, but also gig ready. Only selling due to the purchase of a Kemper profiler. I'm selling this and my pedalsI have the original purchase receipt for £1399. These retail at £1699.Collection only from Chatham, Kent. Sorry, I won't post or let a buyer arrange a courier. It's not worth either of our risk.Cash in collection- no PayPal pleaseDescriptionReviewsThe Tone King Falcon is a 12W all tube 1x10" amplifier hand made in the USA to the exacting specification of Tone King founder Mark Bartel. Previous Tone King amps have offered retro 50s styling matched with vintage Fender blackface tones and at first glance the Falcon ticks both those boxes. However the Falcon has some significant advantages hidden up its sleeves. The first is a three way 'voicing' switch that allows you to choose between Blackface tones, Tweed tones or a 70s style Crunch. The second is a genuine Ironman precision attenuator (you can read a little about the Ironman on Tone King's website) built right in! The Ironman is a serious bit of kit that uses just transformers (no resistors) to ensure the correct impedence matching at all attentuation levels. In true Tone King style the Falcon is available in a variety of retro finishes. This model is finished all over in Cream with a brown grille, a classic look reminiscent of early FendersHere's what Tone King say about the FalconTone King's all new 12W, 1x10 Falcon channels the simplicity and grease fired glory of pure old-school tweed tone. The unique and all new single channel 3-knob preamp (vol, tone, voicing) has three distinct but overlapping voicings - blackface, dead-nuts tweed, and tight 70's hard rock crunch. Its' 2x6V6, cathode biased, zero-feedback, ultralinear output stage gives the Falcon a totally old school vibe - spanky, twangin' cleans and overdrive so chunky, thick, and fat that you can practically smell the bacon frying. A genuine built-in Ironman precision attenuator guarantees that you'll get the same grease-fired tones at any volume level, down to true bedroom level.SpecificationSpeaker: 1x10 Eminence Patriot Rajun CajunPower: 12WTubes: 2x 6V6GT and 2x 12AX7Dimensions: 19" wide x 16" tall x 10" deepWeight: 30 pounds
