I took delivery of this two days ago for an old friend who just asked me if I could get him an Epiphone Casino. So I did. The first sign of an error was when he asked about the pickups.To cut a long story short what he actually wanted was a 335 type with centre block and humbucker pickups, so somebody is going to get a beautifully kept 2009, Qingdao built traditional look Heritage Cherry Casino with an absolutely beautiful pale mock croc case with built in hygrometer.The serial number is the newer format 11 digit form, visible in one of the pictures and Qingdao now certainly know how to build a good playing and finished guitar. I have an earlier Korean Peerless, and while o don't think I could ever part with it, it is the natural "Revolution" style look, and the pickups in this model have got a more authentic P90 growl, and this is louder acoustically, do it's a bit of a toss up really.I wasn't a fan of many of the Qingdao Epis,!with the EE serial numbers, but the finish on this is nice n thin, small post US style bridge and smooth well functioning pots and pickup selector switch. There is no fret west at all, I've given them a quick buff to bring out a nice shine and nicer bends.There isn't any visible dings I've yet found, and I've been over it pretty thoroughly, so grab a nice 'un in a lovely "bling" case.Here at Diesel we like reassured customers to be and happy customers who will come back to us if they ever need something else.
