Vintage Ludwig Super Classic Drum Kit: Late '70s Butcher's Block CortexA finish rarely seen these days! 22" x 14", 13" x 9" and 16" x 16" in original Butcher's Block Cortex wrap.These drums have been gigged over the years and have picked up a couple of knocks and scratches on the wrap, but they are very minor and hard to spot. The kit comes with original tom holder and floor tom legs. The chrome is in great condition overall, with just some pitting here and there as you'd expect. The serial numbers are very close together which is cool. These drums have that classic rock thump and maple boom that became the sound of the later '70s as these shells are the six ply jobbies - you know what that means; sturdier for gigging, greater volume and cut too. Remo heads, plenty of life in them.Bass Drum: Serial Number - 2099429. Resonant hoop very slightly is out of round but this does not effect the tuning or sound of the drum... trust us! On the resonant bearing edge there is sign of damage but it has been subsequently repaired. There are a few scratches to the shell internally but nothing serious. Externally the chrome is excellent and the wrap has a few scuffs and marks but nothing of any real consequence.Tom: Serial Number - 2099335. Great condition, with a few marks and scuffs on the wrap and a little chrome pitting. Original damper in full working order. Original tom receiver box. A slight bit of lift at the seam of the wrap but it still appears to be very tight on the drum.Floor Tom: Serial Number - 2099332. Great condition with some slight corrosion to the floor tom legs here and there are a little pitting to the chrome. Original damper in full working order.Classic Rock character, street-cred and a financial investment.
