This is an original 1968 Gibson Firebird / Non-Reversed neck w/tremolo tailpiece and tune-o-matic type bridge. Includes hardshell case. Serial no. 946418, it dates to 1968 according to Gibson's own numbering system. This guitar has been in storage in the case for a number of years since I purchased it over 30 years ago. The pickups are the original P-90 "soapbar" pickups. All of the electronics are original as far as I can determine. Everything works. All pots are clean, no dead spots. The tune-o matic bridge and the tuning machines were upgraded by the previous owner before I bought it. The tuners are Schaller brand. I replaced the tailpiece and tremolo bar with a vintage tailpiece from the same era, and put on new strings, SIT Power Groove Pure Nickel PN1046 Light strings. Guitar case included is not an original Firebird case. Additional foam padding added in the case for protection. Please read and agree to the following before bidding. I am selling this AS IS.
