A genuine USA made Gibson Les Paul, with PRS pickups and a shaped hard-case.This is a 2016 50's Tribute gold top, with classic Les Paul construction (i.e. mahogany neck, solid mahogany body with maple cap). The top is finished in gold satin while the back and sides are finished in a very dark brown which displays the grain of the guitar's wood beautifully. The neck, as you might expect, carries the classic 50's profile, fat, comfortable and extremely playable. A year of playing (at home) and the back of the neck is more 'polished' than it was new and much easier to play as a consequence.  Acoustic tone is loud and clear, with great sustain. Plugged in, the guitar comes to life, with a fantastic warm tone. There's classic rock, blues, country and jazz tones aplenty here, courtesy of the PRS 245 pickups. The stock Gibson pickups that come in these guitars are a real let down and had to go. The neck unit was okay, but the bridge pickup was very thin and shrill and had to go.The PRS pickups I replaced them with turned these from a 'fun' guitar to a 'great' one. They are G&B-made PRS SE 245 units. These were designed to replicate the tone of original Gibson PAFs and, honestly, they do a great job.The guitar has been played, so there are a few marks here and there although nothing serious. One mark to draw your attention to is on the edge of the neck, just behind the 7th fret. It was there from new and does not affect playability (honestly, I cant even feel it with my thumb, but it is visible so I thought I'd mention it).As a matter of preference (Duane Allman's a hero), I removed the pickup switch-ring ("Treble / Bass"). It's tucked in behind the switch, so let me know if you want it fitted before I ship the guitar.Instead of the lightweight gig bag that the guitar came with, it's now in a shaped hard-case (from Thomann, very well made) which not only looks the part but also gives it the appropriate level of protection that it deserves.Packed in the case are the guitar's original owner's manual, warranty card and wrenches.I'll ship to the UK mainland by courier and fully insured for your and my peace of mind. If you live in the highlands or on an island I'd be grateful if you'd get in touch so that I can confirm that it is possible to ship to you (it generally is, but the couriers can be very fussy, as I'm sure you're aware).Equally, if you'd like to collect the guitar - or meet up within in a reasonable distance, Then you can yourself a few quid.Lastly, please check my feedback as a seller and if you have any questions, then please don't hesitate to get in touch!
