Vintage 1964 Guild Starfire III with original hard-shell case This beautiful 1964 Guild Starfire III Guitar is cherry in color in very good condition all original. Look at all the pictures and make your own decision but this is one of the best. Plays easy with its slim neck, sounds great with its narrow hollow body. This guitar has minimal visible ware, the pictures tell the story. It was well cared for a 53 years old guitar. Be the proud owner!!!
The Guild Bigsby is a great bonus as well because, with the original tuners, this guitar can be played, Bigsby and all, without going out of tune. The piece of plastic that covers the headstock needs to be reglued which is very common with guild guitars. There is also a shrinkage of the binding in the cutaway which also frequent with guild, but nothing very visible, besides that it is in excellent condition. Although nothing has ever been broken. The action is comfortable all way up to the neck and the bridge is all the way down which is typical for vintage Guilds. All electronics untouched but there is only the pickup switch that might need to be cleaned because it does not always work in the bottom position. Original hard-shell case shows some ware both interior and exterior but overall in very good condition + original guild cloth.
