Here's a really nice French horn -- not as well known as some other models but from the same company that makes the popular Holton horns.  My understanding is this model (and the Soloist line) was marketed only through brick and mortar retail music stores as a way to help small, family owned retailers compete with large, online retail stores. This is a LeBlanc Regency French horn serial number 691865 with Regency hardshell case.  It is a double french horn with a .468 bore and 12.25'' large throat hand hammered rose brass bell.  Beautiful rose brass bell gives it a full, dark sound to blend well with strings and woodwinds.  Also works very well in small brass ensemble (I played it quite a bit last year in brass quintet and horn quartet).  A few small dings, nicks and scratches here and there, the kind observable on close inspection but not from more than a few feet away.  No sizable dents or signs of repairs.  Braces all solid.  There is some lacquer loss on the slides.  The rest of the instrument has 98% or more lacquer intact.  The instrument was serviced with ultrasonic cleaning in 2015.  Slides move easily.  Valve action quiet and smooth, excellent compression.  Ready to play out of the box.Case in good shape, typical exterior scuffs, clean and odor free inside, hardware all working fine.Sorry no mouthpiece.Shipping by FedEx ground insured.  Flat shipping fee of $50.  If actual shipping cost is less, I will send you the difference.  Returns gladly accepted per standard eBay policy. Thanks for looking!
6/3/16 -- listing revised and relisted to comply with eBay "brand misuse rules".  no longer includes a comparison to the Holton H181 model.
