Up for sale is a 60s style Fender Telecaster with Fralin vintage hot pickups. The neck is a 2008 CIJ Fender 62 RI with a 7.25" radius and a comfortable small C shape with original Kluson style tuners and vintage frets that have minimal wear. I purchased from the Stratosphere in 2013 and it was listed as "New" condition. The fretboard has a nice dark chocolate rosewood slab and the fret ends were professionally crowned so the neck feels great with no sharp edges. The body is a 2013 Olympic White USA vintage Fender premium alder body purchased new from Fender Bodies and Necks (the premium $400 version with the factory hum route and special electronics route, not the $160 version). It also boasts a factory neck pocket route so if you want to adjust the neck relief at the heel, you simply unscrew the pickguard, which has nothing attached, slide under the strings and you can easily adjust with string tension and without having to remove the neck!Everything else is also genuine Fender right down to the string ferrules. Comes loaded with Lindy Fralin "Vintage Hot" pickups. The Fralin neck pickup is special in that it was wound with the same string used in the bridge bobbin and also features staggered poles. CTS pots, Luxe Radio .05 "Orange Dime" capacitor wired in for period correct tone. Body cavity is also shielded with copper foil (I later discovered Fender put conductive shielding paint inside, but left the foil shielding in) and extended from the hum route to touch the screw holes to a copper pick guard shield.
The body gloss finish was gingerly and evenly rubbed down to a matte finish as a personal preference (NOT a relic!). As a result, the finish has a "distressed" look in certain light (pictured in pic number 6). You wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't pointed it out and feels even better than it did brand new! A small ding at the heal was also touched up (see picture 10).
Also boasts Callaham compensated steel saddles for better tone and intonation.
This is a great sounding Telecaster with a nice feeling neck and great tone. Only selling because I am more of a V or U neck fan and do not care for the C necks.A bargain for anyone who wants a 60s Telecaster with premium electronics, boutique pickups and a nice fit and finish of quality a genuine Fender neck and body.Comes with vintage Fender G&G Blonde Hardshell Tolex case in excellent condition, with crushed gold velvet interior.
