Handsome, carved, relic'd, antique 1930's style, small-body parlor guitar from recycle artist J. Quantrell (hot horns/upright bass/vocalist Bossophone).Custom modified, hand carved front & back, one-of-a-kind, crossed faceplate w. 3 position, carved sound holes (center, left & right) w. vintage woven grill cloth fabric, custom tailpiece & pick guard, carved head stock. Unique carved back has Victorian design. Front has antique style, gold tone scroll marquetry inlay look designs on ebony background. Fret board is covered w. varied, pearl inlay look (lovingly worn though in a few spots), and has Keystone style, antique gold tone fret markers & is trimmed w. pearl look binding. Front & back are edged w. pearl look binding. Plenty of rubbed off, relic'd, patina'd, worn vintage vibe. Few light scratches (on purpose) in just the right places. Signed by the artist.Straight neck, adjustable truss rod reinforced. Action is set comfortably low, but is adjustable to suit your taste. Custom, carved rosewood saddle & precision cut bone-style bridge & head nut. Tuning keys are newly replaced & function well. Strung with new light guage Martin strings. Measures 37 1/2" total length, body measures 19" long, 14" wide at lower bout, 10" wide at upper bout, 4" deep. Chosen for it's antique-style, parlor body shape. Stunning, olde-fashioned appearance & enhanced sound character, unusual, antique body shape plus added mass makes this instrument have a unique, sustained, tonality. A brittle, durable, water proof, industrial coating protects it's beauty & helps give it a reflective tone. Aged, antiqued appearance in finish is intentional to add to it's aged look. A very special instrument, sure to attract admiration.Custom parts are not removable (I've had purchase/pirate/resell/repair messes).
