Wooden Concert Besson Flute 440/442 pitch.[makers name] Besson and Co 98 Euston Rd London England I am the private ower of this lovely flute and have recently had it serviced by London's Top Wind music shop. All the wood, both on the the body and headjoint are perfect.The springs are great giving a lovely feel to the flute, and the pads too are seated correctly Overall, for it's age, the flute is in very good condition.The head joint was made and fitted very recently by the renowned Robert Bigio and comes with his Zicromiun stopper.(price £995 - see photo).This gives the flute greater intonation and a lovely warm mellow sound - practise is needed though to achieve this!Because of its age, the flute does not play the 4th super octaves as this flute was not intended to play these notes, in fact they weren`t even written for the flute in those days, unlike a traditional flute of today. The compass of this flute is C to top D Fourth octave, However if you want a good, well made Flute, you will not be dissapointed. The Flute case is not origanal but is French styled and does the job for keeping it safe and secure.This is an old, but well loved wooden flute, considering its age, I can happily say this flute would be perfect for a beginner who wants his or her first wooden flute, or for an intermediate Flautist who would be able to play very well on this instrument.There no offers for this instrument and no returns.I am a retired Ex pro and I can tell you that anyone buying this instrument will be delighted with their purchaseAny questions please call me Ken 07512355608I must stress it is a lovely flute but has no 4th octave super top notes.Offering free next day special deliveryMany thanks for your interest
