Hello, this is a New Old Stock Gibson USA SGJ, manufactred in 2013 and stamped "2014 Model" which Gibson started doing at some point. It no longer has a warrantee and is therefore sold as used. However, this guitar has never been played, its just been in storage. It may have some signs of life from being a floor model, but to my eyes it looks extremely clean and virtually brand new. The body is mahogany, the neck is maple, and the fretboard is *real* rosewood. Duncan designed humbuckers.it has other player friendly features like oversized strap buttons and the tune-o-matic bridge. it has a cool looking "120th Anniversary" banner inlaid at the 12th fret. but the headstock graphics are standard Gibson (thankfully!). And again, a *real* rosewood fretboard (NOT an alternative fretboard wood they used on other models at the time...)The guitar has been stored de-tuned since new, in its case, in a cardboard box, in climate-controlled storage. I have tested the tuners and electronics for this auction...she is good to go!!Included is the factory gig bag, which is also virtually brand new, although the guitar was inside it from the factory, briefly in 2013.All paperwork & booklets are included, as shown. As well as the Truss Rod tool.Also included is a hand picked Gibson Gear SG hard case, the nice one made in Canada, from 2013, that is also brand new, other than the fact that the new guitar has been inside it for 3.5 years. The outside of the hard case is slightly marred from being wrapped in bubble wrap for so long, inside a cardboard box. It isn't so noticable but it's there, and I believe in full disclosure. You can barely see it. the Gibson hard case is beautiful and this SGJ fits it perfectly snug, just like a glove. (the street price for this case alone is $199+).when you look over the hard case and the gig bag, the leather handles etc, you can tell they appear to have never been touched. Make this guitar your own or get some Christmas shopping done early.
