I played 25+ of these to find the neck profile I liked. (Gotta love Gibson's manufacturing inconsistencies)
I play an old Telecaster and love the neck on it - not fat but has some meat to it.
This LP has that same neck!The open ceramic pickups have a lot of umph (technical term) and can really get some bite if you open them up.
This model was made from 1990 - 2006.
This guitar was manufactured in 2000 - serial number 006545. (the first 2 number denote the year made) From guitar-list.com - "The Gibson Les Paul Classic was introduced in 1990 as a reissue based on the 1960 Les Paul. The key feature of the Classic was its slim neck profile. The Les Paul Classic also had some other features true to the 1960 original: a narrow headstock, thin cutaway binding, aged yellowish fingerboard inlays, inked-on serial number, nickel hardware, vintage-style logo and aged binding on body and neck."DISCLAIMER FOR EBAY'ERS WITH MAGNIFYING GLASSES - this guitar is in GREAT condition but not perfect!!
Note the pictures that show one little spot of scratches on the back, a very small white mark by the input jack, a few pick scratched on the lower bout and a gash on the case. (Still don't know what happened there!)
PAALLLEEEZZEE! It's a guitar - not a museum piece!Super guitar but as a get older I just keep going back to my Tele and it's time to thin the heard. NOTE - I WILL SHIP ONLY TO THE LOWER 48 STATES AT THE $60 PRICE.
