Parting with my beloved Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass, which I used to play a lot more but in recent years I've been using my 5 string, while this beauty slumbered safely inside its case. Made in 1994 according to serial #, apparently quite a good manufacturing period for Fender which makes this particular bass a step above most other Fender MIJ's. Comes strung with a set of nearly-new Ernie Ball Extra Slinky bass strings, only played on for about an hour.
Unlike all the other Geddy Lee jazz bass listings currently up on eBay, THIS listing comes with a BEAUTIFUL G&G hard shell case, made specifically for Fender (FENDER nameplate next to handle) basses. Red crushed velvet interior lining, one large storage corner with a snap-shut lid (much better than 2-3 in-case storage areas, that are too small to fit anything useful!!), and a locking exterior that included its two original keys. Also comes with a set of chrome Schaller 14010201 Security Straplocks, with the locking strap pins already installed on the Jazz Bass, and the strap locks themselves are included and ready to be put onto your favorite strap, protecting you from the horrifying possibility of ever dropping this baby. It's a used bass so has your typical belt rash on the back, a few tiny scratches on the front and a bit of wear on the pickguard, a few more significant scratches on the back (see pics) and two small dings on the corners (see pics) that are about 1-2mm in diameter, neither are visible while playing. The pickguard also has two holes drilled on the left side where a tug bar (aka thumb rest, see pics) was installed, I'm throwing in a brand-new tug bar and install screws to help you easily cover these up. If you choose to use it, I recommend installing it in a place that's comfortable over a place that's convenient just because the holes are already drilled.
TL;DR: It's an electric bass guitar, it's pretty, it's black and white and tan, it comes with a lovely case and some neato doo-dads, but you really should read the info above!
