Description
Brand: Fender Model Year: 1959
Model: Jazzmaster

This 1959 Fender Jazzmaster was purchased by the original owner on his 16th birthday at Grinell's Music in Cleveland, Ohio. The store manager sat him down and let him try a Fender Stratocaster, and then put Fender's latest creation, the top of the line Jazzmaster, in his hands. The young man knew instantly this was HIS guitar. The Jazzmaster was more comfortable and he fell in love with the feel of the slab board neck and frets. So it came home with him in a tweed case, and he played it in his local band The Madmen for a few years until he "grew up" and joined the miltary. Original tweed hardshell case. Original hang tag with matching serial number and Jazzmaster booklet. Pot codes 11th week of 1959. No date on end of neck. Original frets show wear on the 1st & 2nd fret. Strong original pickups that have never been rewound. Completely original 1959 sunburst finish, with scratches and wear. Nice, broken in neck feel with gorgeous Brazilian Rosewood slab fingerboard that has never been refretted. Do you like your vintage Fenders just the way Leo made them? This is the Jazzmaster for you.
