This classic, collectors’ special edition was built in 1996 with all the improvements designed after the famous “Bantam Elite,” was replaced by the amazing Gibson Les Paul Florentine.  The “Florentine Plus” version includes many upgrades to trim and components.  The hollow body design allows you to create an amazing range of sounds, from great rock to jazz.  Its lighter weight allows you to play without the weight fatigue of a standard LP.  The original ’57 humbuckers provide just the right mix of power and tone and are still highly sought-after by guitarists seeking the very best sound. This guitar has the distinctive “Peacock Green,” color that actually seems to change color as you shift the viewing angle.  All parts of the guitar are original equipment and function with the grace of a fully broken-in guitar.  This guitar has been played and shows some of the wear one might expect:  some scratching of the surface lacquer and a little discoloration of the gold. The pictures attempt to show this as much as possible.  The original “Custom Art Gibson Historic” case is included (this guitar is part of that custom series) – it also has a little bit of wear along an edge (see photos) but it is minimal.
To prepare this wonderful guitar for sale, a full tune-up and intonation was done by a fine local luthier, with new strings, and action adjustments for a “just low enough” string height. She plays beautifully and the look of a well-played instrument gives you a great combination of tone and “look.”
