I am selling this flawless and fantastic American Stratocaster in order to fund a new venture. This  American Standard was built in 2013 and purchased brand new from Andertons in Guildford, I might even have the original receipt still!  I have put on a parchment pickguard (Fender OEM) in place of the white one it came with and swapped out the original tuners for my preferred vintage style ones made by Fender themselves (I can throw the original tuners into this sale as well if requested to do so). Other than that and having it set up to my required spec this guitar is standard and unblemished. There are no marks, scratches or dings anywhere on this guitar.Full specs for the American Standards are available online, but for a review of this particular guitar I have included the thoughts of my luthier...........Straight out of the case, a Big, Lively sound acoustically (a sign of good resonance before it’s plugged in). Alder Bodies favour the ‘harmonics’ thrust forward in the frequency spectrum.Plugged in, you hear a very Big  tonally-wide sound whichever pup you’re on. Those 50’s style pups were always Bright & LOUD in their intrinsic design. The No-Load Tone Pot brightens things up considerably when on Max (10). I think, this is where the ‘plugged-in’ sounds are unique, as the usual Tone Control would colour the sound (a smidge darker). Backing off this No-Load a tad’ll reveal the ‘older’ spec sound. The 9.5” rad is very good for getting a low action on the 1st string plus bending it across the f/board without choking out.The two-point (2 x legs) Trem System is a far more efficient way to lessen the friction surrounding ’tuning stability’ issues (that was a Trevor Wilkinson design idea). The ‘Bent Steel’ saddle segments bring a ‘wirey’ zing to the character of each note. With this particular Set Up (Trem floating slightly more angled away from Body) the string is dealing with that ‘rounded’ surface which’d promote more ‘zing’. I’ve straightened the Neck more which has dealt with the strings getting closer to the 1st fret First Position Chords, & the 2nd Position (middle of Neck). The more precise action adjustments were done at the individual saddles’ heights. The guitar will come with it's original case, a vintage style black case with plush black lining. If you have any questions or would like specific photos, please just ask. Thanks for looking.
