This is a vintage 1929 CONN NEW WONDER CHU-BERRY tenor saxophone with serial # M235270, professionally overhauled with high quality new pads, corks and felts. All the pads have been installed on shellack. The sax has been completely disassembled, the body was cleaned thoroughly outside and inside, all the keys and rods where hand cleaned. All the keys has been precisely leveled. After that the instrument has been re-assembled, oiled, adjusted and play tested, so I can guarantee that this saxophone feels and plays like a brand new horn, or better. There are some scratches and abrasions on the lacquer due to its age and previous use, but even so this saxophone is still very shiny and looks great. I can guarantee that this saxophone is in top playing condition, ready to play and needs nothing. This is extremely clean instrument outside and inside as well. My saxophones are always in top playing condition, please read my feedback. The saxophone comes with old solid case. The case in in very good condition and all latches and hinges work as should. Mouthpiece and sax the stand showed in my pictures are not included. Please note: This saxophone does not have original neck. It has been equiped with Saxgourmet Silver Plated Nodal Weight Neck. This neck was especially made for this saxophone and it costed me over $500.00. The G sharp trill key has been removed by somebody who owned this horn before us. The forked Eb (aka Eb trill) key has been blocked by inversely bent spring. Both mechanisms, the G sharp trill key and the forked Eb are not known in modern saxophones. In the case of later Conn models like True Tones, Conn Transitionals and Naked Ladys the Eb trill and G# trill key disappeared during the production run. This saxophone plays like a dream as is with modern set-up and the Saxgourmet neck. The intonation is great in whole range of the instrument scale. You wont be disappointed with this horn.
