Benge 190C (convertible) Tenor Trombone
Estimated price for orientation: 1 000 $
Category: Other Accessories
Class:
Description Brand: Benge Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Skill Level: Professional Finish: Lacquer Instrument: Trombones
Up for sale is a Benge 190 C tenor trombone. This was Benge's top of the line large bore (.547") horn. The C in the model number indicates that it is the "convertible" or modular version. Additionally, the auction includes the straight gooseneck for the player's decision/preference. The original case (which is included and pictured) is built like a tank and has special compartments to house whichever component is not in use. Included in the case is some of the original paperwork, which while it might not hold any real value, was kind of neat (I thought). No mouthpiece is included with this auction. Specs:-two-piece, gold brass 8.5" bell-.547" large bore-spring loaded slide barrels (standard with this model) -rotor valve (stringed) with Benge's unique looking open wrap design-similar to a King 4BThe bell has some dents that I did not have removed, see the pictures for details. When it was last serviced, I had it optimized for use with the F-attachment, making it come together a bit more easily. This just means that assembling the horn with the straight gooseneck takes a little more love to put together than with the former. Some of the braces show signs of past repairs from its previous owner. It doesn't affect the horns sound or playability, it's just a cosmetic thing (review the pictures). Below is a video of the horn in use. It's a great horn and I'm only selling it because I've since upgraded and don't use this much anymore. I'm hoping someone else can get a turn to appreciate it like I have! https://youtu.be/GL4sTxk2kIgNo returns/refunds. All sales are final. I will only be shipping to the continental U.S. Thanks!
