Up for auction is a Custom Bach Stradivarius Mt Vernon Model 229 key of C Trumpet. This instrument is in great condition and plays incredibly well. Its very responsive and plays with a strong and clear tone. The valves move very well. This casing with the current leadpipe and slides was purchased from the estate of an old repair tech. After I bought it I put a modern french bead model 229 Bach bell on it and had it silver plated. The compression on this horn is still good and all of the valves and top caps have matching serial numbers. A standard Bb trumpet mouthpiece does fit in the receiver and plays very well and it will included a basic 7c mouthpiece but I recommend you explore your options in mouthpieces. As for the aesthetic condition of the horn, it is very near mint condition but the casing and leadpipe do have a little wear under the fresh silver plating job done by anderson Silver plating. All this is visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn. This instrument is pure metal, and may have to be polished every few months, if played often. The fingerprints should also be wiped off after playing. This trumpet comes with a mouthpiece in good condition and a case in new condition.
