Very nice 1997 Fender California Series Fat Telecaster. Only made for about a year, the California Series were USA made but painted in Fender's state-of-art facility in Mexico. In very good condition apart from two small chips in the paint, minor scratches on the front and a couple of minor dings on the neck-all of which I've tried to show in the photos. Bridge was upgraded to a three saddle style with compensated brass saddles. All Fender parts. I'm including the original 6 saddle bridge and bridge cover in addition to the original Fender gig bag. Pickups are original though I did add a metal base plate to the bridge pickup. This can be removed easily without altering originality. I did replace the volume pot as there was a dead spot in the original. Frets are in fantastic shape. Little to no wear. Truss rod works. Neck straight. All in all, a wonderful, versatile tele that looks, sounds, and plays great. Warm and jazzy in the front. Sweet chime in the middle. Twangy and punchy in the back. 5 way switch offers two additional settings where the humbucker is split. Thanks for looking!
