The bottom is thin and braced, the sides are laminated using two layers (like Daniel Friederich). The result is a guitar that is very loud, and very well balanced while maintaining very complex overtones. The only reason I'm selling is to pay for some other guitars that I recently purchased.I contacted René to inquire about a new Mordancy with Brazilian back and sides and the price I was quoted was $12,500. This guitar has the advantage of having been broken in while still being in very close to "like new" condition. I will hate to see this one go.
