C. Wheatstone 56 key AEola Concertina. Beautiful instrument. Serial # 29541. Can be found in Horniman Museum logs. Wheatstone Production Ledger SD01 Page 182. Shows the date December 22, 1922.
I am not sure if I have identified item correctly. Please forgive me. I have researched for hours and this is what i believe it is, in my unqualified opinion. Sale will be as is, NO GUARANTEE. I am able to see that it appears to be in very good condition. It works as it should. I see no serious damage it appears to be in tact. 8 sided octagonal shape. Chrome plated ends Measures 8" across and 6" deep when closed. The serial # 29541 is on one end. The other end has a scalloped engraved inset metal label which reads, "C Wheatstone & Co, Inventors, Patentees & Manfcts, Concertinas & AEolas, London". Black leather thumb straps and wrist straps. 8 Black leather bellows are in very good condition. They do show signs of wear and age. Sale includes original leather covered case (I do not have the key) measures 8 3/4" x 9 1/4"
