Vintage Buffet Crampon Bass Clarinet w Case - Circa 1950 - Outstanding ConditionA real rare vintage BEAUTY, circa early 1950's!Meticulously maintained and played in the Big Band era in the Chicago area and with the U.S. Army Band.Made of rich grenadilla wood.Key action is very good, silver keys seem strong and are beautiful.Corks are firm and appear airtight.Bell is in great shape but has a few bumps on very bottom - see pic.Neck in great shape with chrome a bit dull in one area about the size of a dime.Instrument has not been played in over a decade, pads show aging but actually seem to seal pretty well.Grenadilla wood is almost spotless except small area near thumb rest where perhaps foam or tape was applied at one time and has left a gritty feel/blemish in the wood - see pic.Includes bass clarinet support peg and swabs.Sold "As-Is".Insured shipping and signature required upon delivery.
